Do I still have pink eye?
I had pink eye, which my doctor diagnosed 3 weeks ago. After using the eye drops, my eyes were cleared and I had no more eye drainage. I wore glasses for about a week and thought it was safe to wear a new pair of contacts. However, after wearing my contacts for more than a week I’m getting paranoid since my eyes are dry and there’s a minimal amount of drainage on and off throughout the day. Could this be the hellish amount of allergies going around or could it be pink eye again? Please note – my eyes are not pink at all, though the lower eyelids are a little red (which is not uncommon since I’m on my computer 24/7).
If you did the eye drops as prescribe then the pink eye should be gone. Does your eye look and feel like it did when you had pink eye? If you are concerned about it then the only way to find out for sure is to go back to your eye doctor.

I thought that I had pink eye also. Turns out it is a chronic disease you can not get rid of. It is called some like this Blephritis(not spelled right). The way to take care of it, is cleaning it with baby shampoo or in the shower. Here are some of my I have experienced. Eyes glued shut in the morning, It just effects the eye lid and the lower eye lid. It can hurt, eye lids are red and drippy. The eye looks normal, although this disease does make your vision blurry. The best bet see a eye specialist or get a second opinion. I found out with a second doctor. They can give you drops that have a steroid in it, and they work pretty good. The worst I will have it for the rest of my life! Maybe they find a cure.

I thought I had pinkeye and went to the doctor. She said it was allergies wich surprised me since I haven't had allergies in years. Anyway my doc said with pinkeye your eyes will be red and have a cloudy colored drainage. If it is allergies there will be little redness and only a clear drainage. The draining from pinkeye will dry and stick your eyes shut at night. Hope this helps.

Well your pink eye could be gone, but there is a possibility that you could have re infected yourself! If you are a female... did you throw out the eye liner/mascara that you used previously? Also did you throw out your previous contact lens case? If you ever touched the tip of eye drops to your eye you need to throw it out as well. Also wash your pillow case!! Any of these things could re infect your eye. It is also possible that you could be experiencing allergies or irritation due to extended computer use... To be safe go see your eye doctor again to check it out :)
